当天上午，内蒙古自治区政协组织召开了媒体记者座谈会，会议由内蒙古自治区政协党组成员、秘书长，机关党组书记杨利民主持。
杨利民介绍，近年来，自治区政协始终把坚持党的全面领导作为统揽一切工作的总纲，把旗帜鲜明讲政治作为第一要求，把全面贯彻铸牢中华民族共同体意识作为工作主线，严格落实“第一议题”制度，坚持用习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想凝心铸魂，坚定拥护“两个确立”、坚决做到“两个维护”，在全国政协的有力指导和内蒙古党委的坚强领导下，思想政治引领取得新成效，专门协商机构建设得到新加强，助力两件大事展现新担当，广泛汇聚现代化内蒙古建设新动能，守正创新推动提质增效实现新突破。“去年我们首次制定自治区政协五年工作规划，提出了10个方面重点任务，构建起‘1+N’规划体系，推动政协工作提质增效。自治区政协还与自治区高级人民法院建立‘政协+法院’民商事纠纷多元化解机制，在全区各级政协和法院全面推行。”据介绍，2023年全区三级政协1064名特邀调解员，成功调解案件3791件，这项创新工作，得到最高人民法院的充分肯定，被评为自治区2023年“十大法治事件”，入围内蒙古“十大优秀改革案例”评选名单。
为了推动社会治理重心向基层下移，构建立体化矛盾纠纷多元化解工作体系，最大限度把矛盾问题解决在基层和萌芽状态，自治区政协启动政协委员开展信访代办工作，制定《政协内蒙古自治区委员会关于组织政协委员开展信访代办工作的实施方案》，建立工作机制，组建工作队伍，充分发挥政协委员界别众多、联系面广、代表性强、人才荟萃的优势和作用，尽最大努力解决好人民群众的操心事、烦心事和揪心事。
在推动委员高质量履职方面，内蒙古自治区党委印发《关于充分发挥新时代政协委员作用的意见》，十三届自治区政协首次推行委员履职承诺践诺和主动请辞制度，进一步明确委员年度履职“六个一”任务，主席会议成员率先垂范，引领自治区政协委员全部签订履职承诺书，发挥委员主体作用，走出政协履职尽责“新路子”。
过去一年来，自治区政协深入贯彻落实习近平总书记关于深化东西部协作和加强与京津冀协同发展的重要指示精神，在北京和内蒙古两地党委的坚强领导和政府的大力支持下，自治区政协与北京市政协创新开展“京蒙协作 政协助力”行动，助推实施京蒙协作“六个倍增计划”，推动京蒙在教育、医疗、农畜产品销售、文旅、产业合作和科技创新等领域合作升级。“截至目前，‘六个倍增计划’取得阶段性成果，此项工作入选自治区党委‘创新成果和典型经验大起底’。”杨利民介绍。
