中新网上海4月24日电(记者 缪璐)以“新型碳材料”为主题的第三期“碳讲堂”23日在沪举行。会上，中国科学院院士、复旦大学教授赵东元以《“卖碳翁”的黄金时代》为题发表主旨演讲，对新型碳材料的应用和发展进行深入浅出的解读。
碳元素构成了人类物质生活的基础，白居易的《卖炭翁》让人们在了解卖炭翁辛酸劳作和痛苦生活的同时，也展示了人类最早使用的碳元素——炭。赵东元指出，“此‘炭’非彼‘碳’，现在我们所讲的新型碳材料，是从分子水平、元素的角度去理解的碳。”
2020年，中国提出了“2030年前实现碳达峰，2060年前实现碳中和”的目标。赵东元说：“2030年达到碳达峰，我们没有问题，但2060年达到碳中和，我们是有压力的。因为很多国家从碳达峰到碳中和用了70多年，而我们只有30年时间，并且不要忘了我们还是发展中国家。”
有压力的同时也意味着这一领域充满机遇。赵东元说：“随着新型碳材料的发展，现在已经来到了‘卖碳翁’的黄金时代了，我们已经不会‘十指黑’了，脸上也不会再有任何灰尘。”
“双碳”目标下，“卖碳翁”们抢占先机的关键在于让能源的利用效率不断提高。眼下，风能、太阳能、海洋能虽是可持续发展的绿色能源，但这些技术目前还处于“婴儿期”，都是间歇式的，短时间内不可能挑起未来能源的重担。
那未来能源的核心是什么？赵东元表示，是“低碳”，“就是让碳含量减少，尽可能把煤、石油烧出来的东西变成高效、清洁的东西。把煤炭高效清洁化利用，把石油‘吃光榨干’。”
据赵东元介绍，石油加工就是靠多孔材料把石油裂解成今天用的汽柴油，汽柴油到了这么低的沸点时很容易高效燃烧，这样开汽车、柴油车就能高效地利用原油。
而赵东元所做的“功能介孔材料”则是多孔材料领域最重要的发现之一，其中“有序介孔高分子和碳材料的创制和应用”获得了2020年度国家自然科学一等奖。据悉，目前功能介孔材料已经作为催化剂在中石化加氢炼化的催化剂中使用，新技术全国推广后每年可增产150万吨航煤和柴油。
此外，功能介孔材料还在新能源领域得到应用，“我们做一些隔热材料，把热保护住。另外我们把发明的介孔碳用在动力电池上，无论是中试还是产业化前期，我们都已经做完了，还是非常好的。”赵东元说。
当然，功能介孔材料在大规模普及和推广时也面临一些难题。赵东元指出，“首先是价钱。怎么样既规模化生产又要价格合适，这是一个非常大的问题，我们也在慢慢解决，通过生产工艺的改变和原料的使用慢慢降低成本；此外是寿命，提高寿命和解决快充，这些都是动力电池面临的问题，介孔材料如果能够使电池在寿命和倍率上进一步提高，真正能够被市场接受，我相信发展前景还是非常广阔的。”
在进行“低碳”的过程中，成本提高和能耗过大，已然成为制约新能源发展的共同问题。为解决这一难题，赵东元表示，“‘碳交易’就会变得十分重要。”“碳交易”是一种基于市场的减排机制，其核心是将二氧化碳排放权视为一种商品进行交易。
“碳是最神奇的元素。”赵东元一直强调，“今天给大家展示的只是碳的一个小角，我们还可以靠着无限想象创造系列材料，然后把这些材料转化成可用的新能源，为国民经济和社会发展做出贡献。”(完)
